Mesquite Skatepark at Westlake Sports Center

Monday - Friday: 12:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Designed for skateboarders of all skill levels, this facility offers a range of features including a four-foot bowl and three main lanes equipped with bank ramps, quarter pipes, grind boxes and rails, as well as a dedicated beginner’s area. A shaded area also is available for spectators to watch the action.

Skateboarding for Beginners 

This beginners class teaches the fundamentals of balance, board control, and basic riding techniques. Participants will learn how to push, turn, and stop safely while building confidence on the board. With step-by-step instruction and a focus on safety, this class is perfect for those new to skateboarding.

Skatepark Birthday Packages

Roll into fun at the skatepark! Celebrate with friends under your own shaded hangout spot. Each party package includes space for up to 10 guests, with room to add more for an additional fee.

  Rules 

  • All skaters and spectators are required to check in at the office before entering the skatepark.
  • Skateboards, in-line skates, scooters, and BMX freestyle bikes only. No motorized equipment or pegs of any kind on bikes.
  • Protective gear (including helmets, knee, elbow and wrist pads) is strongly recommended. 
  • Appropriate attire required.
  • Skatepark users under the age of 12 must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18. Spectators restricted to non-skating areas, unless assisting an under-age skater.
  • Know your abilities and use the facility at your own risk. Exercise common sense and courtesy to others. 
  • Look before you go
  • Do not drop in on others
  • Wait your turn
  • Be fair and respectful of others
  • Inspect the park before using; stay off when wet, icy or other hazardous conditions exist. 
  • The following are prohibited: 
      • Smoking or vaping
      • Animals  
      • Glass containers
      • Littering
      • Artwork or graffiti
      • Additional ramps or jumps
  • Leave bad behaviors at home including:
    • foul language
    • drug, tobacco, and alcohol use
    • fighting
  • Violation of any of these rules could result in removal from the skatepark and forfeiture of fee.
  • The City reserves the right to close the facility and is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

  • Report all offenses to Westlake Staff or to the City of Mesquite Parks and Recreation Department at 972-216-6260.
  • For emergencies, please inform Westlake staff and call 911.
