DONATIONS ACCEPTED BY LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS
- MESQUITE ANIMAL SHELTER - Gently used pet bedding, towels, sheets, newspaper, toys, food
- MESQUITE PUBLIC LIBRARY - Gently used books/magazines, and commercially-produced DVDs/CDs (NO VHS/audiocassette tapes, or LPs)
- LIONS CLUB - Gently used eye glasses
- KMB/RECYCLED SNEAKER PROJECT - Shoes in any condition
- SHARING LIFE - Gently used clothing, handbags, home goods, children’s items, and working televisions/electronics for donation
City services provided below are exclusive to residents of Mesquite.
Photo ID or utility bill is required to proceed.
Acceptable Items
- E-waste (computers, monitors, printers, televisions, cell phones, or any electronic device). WE DO NOT ACCEPT VHS CASSETTE TAPES
- CFL lightbulbs (please place incandescent or other light bulbs in your trash)
- Tires and used appliances
Document Destruction
A document destruction truck will be available for residential shredding only.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT BUSINESS SHREDDING. To participate, please bring only individual documents for shredding. Please do not bring magazines, ad inserts, envelopes or anything other than those documents to be shred.
Ensure that batteries, electronics, and any other loose items are removed. Damages caused to the shred trucks will be the resident's responsibility. Space in the shredding trucks is limited, so residents who aren't in compliance with the above requests will be asked to get out of line to separate non-acceptable items before utilizing this service.
Unaccepted Items
Commercial office waste and household hazardous waste are not accepted at this event.
