    With an investigative eye, Mr. Harris creates life-sized (or larger) photo-realistic drawings of subjects laboriously executed with graphite on Mylar. He chooses common everyday people, saddles, skulls, vegetables, or utilitarian objects that he finds intriguing in their complexity.

City Council

    City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through the “Mesquite Messenger” function on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda is posted.

    Please join the Mesquite Arts Council as they present "Jazz Breaks". Jazz Breaks is an annual concert series that host local Jazz musicians. Hosted inside the Mesquite Arts Center's courtyard space. To enter the courtyard, please enter the front lobby area. These are FREE events that have limited seating of 50 attendees. Mask and social distancing are in effect. Tables and chairs will be provided, please no outside seating at this time.

  1. Little Rookies Soccer (Registration Period)

    June 21, 2021 - July 18, 2021

    The Little Rookies Soccer program, designed for 3 and 4-year-old children, will provide an introduction to basic soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting. This five week program is held on Saturdays at Dunford Recreation Center and will provide instructional activities followed by a brief scrimmage. Participants will need to register for either a 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. session. A parent / guardian is required to be at all sessions and must participate.
