    With an investigative eye, Mr. Harris creates life-sized (or larger) photo-realistic drawings of subjects laboriously executed with graphite on Mylar. He chooses common everyday people, saddles, skulls, vegetables, or utilitarian objects that he finds intriguing in their complexity.

  2. Tote-and-Go Services | Unicorns (Pick-up Only)

    The Mesquite Arts Council's Tote-and-Go services is a contactless FREE service, which is open to the public. This service is first-come, first-serve and is located inside the Mesquite Arts Center's front lobby table. This service is available on Mondays at 12 PM and will go until supplies last each week. Helping over 100 individuals each week.

    City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through the “Mesquite Messenger” function on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda is posted.

  1. Community Development Block Grant Application

    Mesquite receives CDBG funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds are available to eligible non-profits, city departments and neighborhood organizations. Applications will be available online at www.cityofmesquite.com/CDBG beginning Friday, March 19. Applicants may also request a copy of the application by contacting the CDBG Coordinator, Ruby Butler, at 972-216-6425 or RButler@cityofmesquite.com. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 23 by 5 p.m.

  1. Little Rookies Volleyball (Registration Period)

    March 23, 2021, 6:00 PM - April 11, 2021 @ Dunford Recreation Center

    The Little Rookies Volleyball program, designed for 5 and 6-year-olds, will provide an introduction to basic volleyball skills such as volleying, passing, and serving. This five-week program is held on Saturdays at Dunford Recreation Center and will provide instructional activities followed by a brief scrimmage. Participants will need to register for either a 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. session. A parent / guardian is required to be at all sessions and must participate.
