    Please join us on Thursday, August 6 for our virtual class "MAC Doodles". This week we will doodle images inspired by the book "The King of Kindergarten" by Derrick Barnes and Illustrated by Vanessa Brantley-Newton! This class features "How To" doodle videos for the whole family + a special children's read-a-long. Gather with your pencil, pen and paper as instructor Erica Guajardo shows you how to create a school bus, friends, and playtime. These images are great for beginners, intermediate, and expert level. This is a FREE virtual course. A link to our video will upload at 12PM on July 23.   1. Mesquite Veterans Memorial Brick Sale Ends

    Due to overwhelming public response, the City of Mesquite has announced the deadline to purchase a brick for the Walk of Honor at the new Mesquite Veterans Memorial has been extended to 5 p.m., Thursday, August 6. Visit www.MesquiteVeteransMemorial.org for details on purchasing a $50 brick. Bricks can be purchased online by credit card through the Parks and Recreation Department at https://bit.ly/3fbh94x. Bricks can be purchased by completing an order form available online at https://bit.ly/312yEij and mailing it with cash or check payment to: Mesquite Veterans Memorial Brick Paver Program, c/o Communications and Marketing Department, City of Mesquite, Municipal Center, 1515 N. Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, TX 75149. Orders may also be dropped off with cash or check payment to the City Manager’s Office located on the 2nd floor of Municipal Center. Please make checks payable to the City of Mesquite.
