Auditions for The Elephant Man by Bernard Pomerance will be held June 17-18 in the Mesquite Arts Center Black Box Theatre. Doors open at 6:40. Auditions will run 7-9pm. Come either day, no appointment needed. Be prepared to stay the entire time.
Auditions will be cold readings from the script. All ages, abilities, and ethnicities welcome. There will be a rehearsal schedule at the audition, please bring and note your conflicts on your audition form.
The play requires 6 men and 2 women - most actors play multiple roles.
Bring your current HEADSHOT and RESUME. If you DO NOT have a headshot and/or resume, DON’T LET THAT STOP YOU! COME AND AUDITION!
This production will run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, August 9-25, 2019. Rehearsals will begin either late June or early July depending on scheduling.

Tuesdays, June 4 - July 23, 2019. Preschool Storytime is at both the Mesquite Main and North Branch Library. There is a mix of songs, rhymes, finger plays, and books. However, there is a greater emphasis on books, on longer stories with more challenging content, and on independent participation by the kids. Children will be introduced to group participation, and caregivers will learn some songs and rhymes to share with their children at home. This program is an opportunity for children to mature socially and developmentally in preparation for school. Sounds, letter recognition, and new words that will help them grow into pre-readers all while having fun. Program length: approx. 30 minutes.
