Auditions for The Elephant Man by Bernard Pomerance will be held June 17-18 in the Mesquite Arts Center Black Box Theatre. Doors open at 6:40. Auditions will run 7-9pm. Come either day, no appointment needed. Be prepared to stay the entire time. Auditions will be cold readings from the script. All ages, abilities, and ethnicities welcome. There will be a rehearsal schedule at the audition, please bring and note your conflicts on your audition form. The play requires 6 men and 2 women - most actors play multiple roles. Bring your current HEADSHOT and RESUME. If you DO NOT have a headshot and/or resume, DON’T LET THAT STOP YOU! COME AND AUDITION! This production will run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, August 9-25, 2019. Rehearsals will begin either late June or early July depending on scheduling.

Please join the Mesquite Community Band every Monday night in June as they present their 27th season of Music in the Park, located in the Cedar Grove at Mesquite Arts Center at 7PM. City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through the “Mesquite Messenger/Notify Me” function on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda is posted.
