Join us for the free concert series every Tuesday in June, Jazz Breaks! This Jazzbreaks, enjoy the melodies of talented singer/voice over artist Gale Cruz. She worked in New York for over twenty years and has done hundred of voice overs and thousands of singing jobs that flow into her performances.

Are you a “Native Texan” or a transplant? Plants can be native or transplants too! Create a lush and vibrant landscape with our favorite “Top 100” native and adapted plants, ideal for your North Texas land­scape. You’ll also learn proper soil prepara­tion, proper planting, how to choose the right plant for the right place as well as tips to keep your plants beautiful and healthy year-round. Top 100 Deck of Cards (pictured) will be available for purchase. Seminar taught by Daniel Cunningham from Texas A&M Water University. Attendees will receive free spray nozzles and moisture meters.

Tuesdays, June 4 - July 23, 2019. Preschool Storytime is at both the Mesquite Main and North Branch Library. There is a mix of songs, rhymes, finger plays, and books. However, there is a greater emphasis on books, on longer stories with more challenging content, and on independent participation by the kids. Children will be introduced to group participation, and caregivers will learn some songs and rhymes to share with their children at home. This program is an opportunity for children to mature socially and developmentally in preparation for school. Sounds, letter recognition, and new words that will help them grow into pre-readers all while having fun. Program length: approx. 30 minutes.
