  2. Michelle Richardson: Developing Story Exhibition 10.1.2019 - 12.29.2019

    We are honored to welcome the "Developing Story" of Michelle Richardson's exhibition this Fall. Exhibition will be on display from October 1- December 29. The exhibition revolves from the tradition of gathering around the radio, television or other devices during historic moments has carried on from generation to generation. Inspired by current events, this exhibition references mass communication and the implications of the 24-hr news cycle with a series of screens that act in totality as both painting and silent time-based media. Please join us on December 7th from 6-8 PM for sips and bites a viewing of Michelle Richardson's artwork in Mesquite Arts Center Main Gallery. This is a FREE event.   1. Preschool Storytime

    October 15, 2019, 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM @ Both Mesquite Main and North Branch Library

    There is a mix of songs, rhymes, finger plays, and books. However, there is a greater emphasis on books, on longer stories with more challenging content, and on independent participation by the kids. Children will be introduced to group participation, and caregivers will learn some songs and rhymes to share with their children at home. This program is an opportunity for children to mature socially and developmentally in preparation for school. Sounds, letter recognition, and new words that will help them grow into pre-readers all while having fun. Program length: approx. 30 minutes.   2. Young at Art

    Please join us for projects that expose children to great artist through art and literature. Young at Art is from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the remaining dates: October 17, November 12, November 14, December 10 and December 17. Limited to 10 students.
