    Mrs. Savage has been left ten million dollars by her husband and wants to make the best use of it, in spite of the efforts of her grown-up stepchildren to get their hands on it. They commit her to a "sanatorium" where the inmates display a kindness and affection that she has not experience in the outside world. Complications ensue when she decides she wants to stay.

  1. Mesquite Recycles Day

    Mesquite Recycles Day is a twice-annual event held in Mesquite, TX. At the event, we accept used cell phones, batteries and accessories; printer cartridges, and rechargeable and alkaline batteries. We also accept used books, commercially-produced VHS tapes, DVDs, CDs and books on tape. Local agencies are on-hand to collect used toys and children’s items, clothing, and household items. Onsite shredding is available for home use. Also to be accepted on that day are e-waste including computers and peripheral equipment, VCRs, DVD players, and similar items.     Did you know that dogs love to be read too? Well they do, especially by kids! Reading to a non-judgmental partner helps give children the extra practice with reading and oral skills. Reading to dogs can also help build confidence in beginning readers. The dates are October 13, November 10, and December 8.

  1. Veterans Day Celebration

    Join us to honor all veterans with a celebration at City Lake Park on November 10 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A complimentary picnic will be provided by Mesquite Fire Corps and a special musical presentation will be performed by The Dallas Heritage Brass Band. Donations will be accepted at the event for the Mesquite Veterans Memorial.
