    With an investigative eye, Mr. Harris creates life-sized (or larger) photo-realistic drawings of subjects laboriously executed with graphite on Mylar. He chooses common everyday people, saddles, skulls, vegetables, or utilitarian objects that he finds intriguing in their complexity.

    May 17, 2021, 7:00 PM @ City Hall | Council Chamber

    City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through the “Mesquite Messenger” function on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda is posted.

  1. Winter Storm FEMA registration deadline

    Governor Greg Abbott announced that at the request of the Texas Division of Emergency Management, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has extended the Individual Assistance registration period for Texans impacted by the winter storm. Individuals who live in qualifying counties now have until May 20, 2021 to submit damages and make claims to FEMA.

    The Little Rookies program is designed for 3 and 4-year-old children, will provide an introduction to basic basketball skills such as passing, dribbling, and shooting. Participants will need to register for the 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. session. A parent / guardian is required to be at all sessions and must participate.
