    Each year, the City of Mesquite creates a budget to estimate revenues and expenditures and part of that process is to engage citizens for feedback through the use of town halls, public hearings and budget discussions. In 2020, the City seeks additional feedback from residents by implementing the Budget Priorities Citizen Survey. The City recommends the public watch the budget educational video located above prior to completing the survey.

    City Council meetings are held on the first and third Monday of each month. The meetings are re-scheduled to the next Tuesday when it conflicts with a City holiday that falls on a Monday meeting date. The start time is published once the agenda is finalized and posted online. Per State law, agendas are posted a minimum of 72 hours in advance of the meeting start time. Residents may sign-up through the “Mesquite Messenger/Notify Me” function on the City’s website to receive email notification when a new City Council agenda is posted.
