City Council to meet April 4 

Mesquite City Council meets April 4 at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave. Members of the public, applicants and interested parties may attend the meeting in person. Face coverings are optional for attendees, but the city will continue to implement social distancing measures with limited seating. Members of the public desiring to comment during Citizens Forum must preregister as follows: Send an email or call the City Secretary on or before 3 p.m. April 4 at sland@cityofmesquite.com or 972-216- 6244. Provide the City Secretary with your name and address. Comments on agenda items may be made during the meeting or by submission on or before 3 p.m. on April 4 to the following email address: sland@cityofmesquite.com. View meeting agendas online. 2022 Redistricting Public Meetings


The City of Mesquite will host the second public input meeting on Council redistricting on Tuesday, April 5. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and be held at Rutherford Recreation Center, 900 Rutherford Drive. The meeting is open to all residents and is intended to gather public feedback on proposed redistricting illustrated maps. Learn more at www.cityofmesquite.com/Redistricting.

Mesquite Community Survey Results


The City of Mesquite conducted a 2021 Mesquite Community Attitude and Satisfaction Survey. The survey was administered by ETC Institute, a national leader in conducting customer satisfaction surveys for governmental organizations. The survey results were presented to the City Council at the March 21 Council meeting. View the results here.

Mesquite to host Bunny Bash


The City of Mesquite Parks and Recreation Department will host a Bunny Bash on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to noon at Evans Recreation Center, 1116 Hillcrest St. The egg hunt is free for children 9 and under and will begin at 11 a.m. The event will feature family-friendly activities and professional photos with the Easter Bunny. Admission is free, but a small fee will be charged for some activities. Learn more.

Adopt-A-Spot Program

Keep Mesquite Beautiful has partnered with the City of Mesquite's Clean City Initiative through the Adopt-a-Spot program. The program provides opportunities for the whole community to help keep Mesquite litter-free by "adopting" a specific location and committing to keep it clean. Locations can be adopted by any group.
