Downtown Mesquite: Front Street Station – Aesthetic Improvements, Paving, Drainage, Water and Sewer
The Plan: The project is for the design of Front Street Station between Galloway Avenue and North Ebrite Street as the first phase to improve Downtown Mesquite with new underground infrastructure, pedestrian-friendly elements, special event areas and additional parking.
What's happening now and work expected in the next 30 days: Utility crews are installing a storm sewer system, sewer lines, water lines and roof drains. They are also making water service connections along Front Street, from Broad Street to east of Lancaster Avenue. Paving preparations are underway on Ebrite Street and Front Street. Ebrite Street is closed from Main Street to the Union Pacific Railroad, including the railroad crossing. Front Street is closed from Walker Street to Lancaster Street.
