Mesquite Elks Lodge presents annual awards

2018 Elks

Mesquite, TX – February 28, 2018 – On February 26, the Mesquite Elks Lodge #2404 presented their annual awards at the City Dignitary Awards Banquet. The lodge named Mesquite Police Officer Timothy Rountree as Police Officer of the Year; Mesquite Firefighter/Paramedic Aaron Hall as Firefighter of the Year; and Randy Lawson as Mesquite Citizen of the Year.

Officer Rountree joined the Mesquite Police Department in 2009 and currently serves as an investigator in the Criminal Investigation Division Crimes Against Persons Unit. Firefighter Hall started his career with the Mesquite Fire Department in 2012 and has taken a leadership role in many volunteer programs, such as Addressing Mesquite Day and Helping Others in Mesquite Everyday (HOME). 

Mr. Lawson was recognized for his vision and dedication to further public awareness and funding to build a new Mesquite Veterans Memorial.
