Mesquite, TX – September 19, 2017 – Mesquite honored four City employees with Real. Texas. Service. Champion awards during the City Council meeting on September 18. The Real. Texas. Service. Champions program celebrates employees who provide exemplary customer service and achieve accomplishments that merit special recognition.
The following employees were recognized: Fire Captain David Shedd, Police Officer Zach Embrey, Water Conservation and Recycling Coordinator Kathy Fonville, and Administrative Secretary Tiffany James. The program allows supervisors to nominate service-oriented employees, and awards are presented four times each year. Award winners receive a one-time addition of eight hours of vacation time, or leave equivalent to one full shift; special recognition at a City Council meeting; an award certificate; and a professional photograph from the City’s production studios to be displayed for three months in the lobby of the Municipal Center, 1515 N. Galloway Ave.
