Republic Services announces separate container and disposal fee

top-nav-logo

Mesquite, TX – August 2, 2017 – Republic Services has announced it will implement a separate contamination and disposal fee due to experiencing rising levels of non-acceptable items in their recycling containers. This separate fee became effective August 1, 2017.

When non-acceptable items are mixed in with the recycling loads, there is an increased processing cost to properly remove and dispose of these items. As a result, commercial accounts will be charged, in addition to current charges, for containers with 15 percent or more of contaminated materials. Any material listed as “unacceptable” will be deemed contamination.

For a list of acceptable and unacceptable items, visit www.RepublicServices.com or call 972-225-4207.
