Mesquite, TX – June 6, 2017 – Beat the heat with Summer Sizzle’s Splash Zone and a variety of refreshments on Saturday, June 10, from noon – 9:30 p.m. at Paschall Park, 1001 New Market Road. Take a refreshing ride down the tropical breeze or twin falls water slides, get wet while running through the tropical obstacle course, surf the big wave machine plus much more. Unlimited access wristbands are available for the rides for $15 each or purchase individual tickets for $1 each. A $5 discount towards the purchase of a wristband is also available with the donation of a jar of peanut butter and/or jelly to support the City of Mesquite’s Spread the Love campaign. All donations benefit the food pantries of Mesquite Social Services and Sharing Life Community Outreach.
Event admission and parking is free. Parking will be available at Travis Williams Softball Complex, 1005 New Market Road. Additional parking will be available at Mesquite Memorial Stadium, 2411 Scyene Road, with free shuttle service beginning at 3 p.m.
Summer Sizzle is a family-friendly event to kick-off the summer featuring a spectacular fireworks show, four bands performing live music, a Kids Activity Zone, an area for Texas-sized yard games, mud volleyball and washer tournaments and a world record attempt for the most people to wear a glow stick while dancing to “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
