Mesquite, TX - July 28, 2023 - Dallas County Mosquito Lab has notified Mesquite that mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile virus in zip code 75150. Spraying will begin tonight in the neighborhoods near the Galloway and Oates intersection, along Town East Blvd. from Baker to Gus Thomasson and across from Eastfield between Motley, I-30 and Oates Drive. The second spray of these areas will be tomorrow night or Sunday depending on the weather. If you are outside during the hours that mosquitoes are active, please remember to use an effective repellent product. The maps of the areas to be sprayed are below.
