Celebrate the conclusion of national Park and Recreation month at “Pop Up at the Park” at Mesquite’s new spray pad at Clay Mathis Park.
The free, family-friendly event will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, at Clay Mathis Park, 2181 Clay Mathis Rd.
“Pop Up at the Park” will feature free popsicles, games, and more at the Spray Zone, which officially opened on May 1. A spray pad is an interactive playground with various water features such as nozzles that spray water upward from a deck and whimsical shower-style features.
Since 1985, July has been nationally recognized as Park and Recreation Month, acknowledging the essential and powerful role local parks and recreation play in building stronger, more vibrant and resilient communities.
