Mesquite, TX - Oct. 6 - City of Mesquite and North Texas Municipal Water District staff worked jointly to make temporary repairs to a collapsed 30-inch sanitary sewer main on Tuesday evening. The sewer was placed back in service once the temporary repairs were made, which occurred at approximately 2 a.m. Wednesday morning.
City staff met with TCEQ on site Wednesday and found no immediate environmental concerns. City of Mesquite Public Works crews will
continue the clean-up efforts by pumping out contaminated water and flushing the creek with potable water from a nearby hydrant.
