Mesquite, TX – May 19, 2022 – The City of Mesquite's Motley Park, 4000 Moon Drive, recently received an update to the multi-use court. The outdated and underutilized tennis court was converted to a Futsal court, a smaller version of indoor soccer. The half-court basketball areas also were refreshed. The old shuffle ball pad was updated to a picnic area and a volleyball pad was also updated with fresh painted lines and a new net. Lights were added in the parking lot along with a new ADA accessible path from the parking lot. This area will provide the neighborhood with many new options for recreation as well as new activities for the students at Motley Elementary. Funding for these updates was made possible with the Balch Springs Land Sale in 2020, funds that were required to be spent on City park projects.
