Mesquite, TX – February 16, 2022 – The City of Mesquite has selected Whitney Golin as the new Director of Communications and Marketing effective Feb. 21. Golin brings 25 years of strategic marketing and communications experience to the role, having served as the director of marketing, communications, and outreach for the former Richland College of the Dallas County Community College District.
Golin has a proven history of managing innovative partnerships with local and state leaders, and has extensive knowledge of strategic planning, performance management and marketing applications. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in public relations from the University of Texas at Arlington.
“We’re excited to have someone with Whitney’s experience in this essential role,” said City Manager Cliff Keheley. “Her knowledge and achievements in the field of communications will significantly assist us in our goal to actively engage with residents in all matters.”
Golin was a member of the team that led Richland College to earn the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2005, a presidential award for performance excellence from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Recently, she served on the campaign strategy team for Dallas College managing campaigns for the Schools of Education, Business, and Creative Arts, including the successful launch of Dallas College’s first bachelor’s degree for the School of Education.
