Mesquite, TX – December 3, 2020 – The Texas Department of Transportation has started construction on IH 635 LBJ East. Starting Friday, Dec. 4 the eastbound IH 635 mainlanes at Forest Lane will be closed to perform beam settings and the westbound IH 635 mainlanes will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 5. Street closures at Forest Lane, Abrams Roads and Markville Drive will also be required in addition to the mainlane closures. Mainlane traffic will be detoured to the frontage roads. PART 1
Friday, Dec. 4 from 10 p.m. to Saturday, Dec. 5 at 8 a.m.
- All lanes of eastbound I-635 at Forest Lane will be closed.
- All lanes of the eastbound I-635 TEXpress lanes prior to US 75 will be closed. Traffic will be directed to exit at Coit Road onto the mainlanes.
- The entrance ramp to eastbound I-635 between Greenville Avenue and Abrams Road will be closed.
- The entrance ramp to eastbound I-635 at TI Boulevard will be closed.
- Markville Drive at the eastbound I-635 frontage road will be closed.
- All lanes of Abrams Road at I-635 will be closed.
- All lanes of Forest Lane at I-635 will be closed.
All closures for Part 1 will reopen by Saturday, Dec. 5 at 8 a.m.

Saturday, Dec. 5 from 8 p.m. to Sunday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.
- All lanes of westbound I-635 at Forest Lane will be closed.
- All lanes of Abrams Road at I-635 will be closed.
- All lanes of Forest Lane at I-635 will be closed.
All closures for Part 2 will reopen by Sunday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.
