Mesquite, TX – June 12, 2020 – The City of Mesquite has received a positive West Nile-Virus report from Dallas County Mosquito Lab. Spraying will start tonight at 10 p.m. in the area along IH 635, Hickory Tree Road, Lake June Road and along W. Bruton Road to Peachtree Road across to Potter Lane to Rodeo Center Blvd then down to New Market Road. Attached is the map of the spray area.
Two sprays of the area should be completed by Monday night, weather permitting. Spraying begins after 10 p.m. and ends no later than 5:30 a.m.
This is the same spray area as last week. Next week, the City plans to increase efforts in this area by looking standing water and treating storm drains in an effort to attack mosquitos.
