Mesquite, TX – January 24, 2020 – The City of Mesquite’s Office of Neighborhood Vitality will host the Third Annual Neighborhood Summit on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020. The free summit is open to all Mesquite residents, who will have the opportunity to network with their neighbors and city staff. The Neighborhood Summit will be held at the MISD Professional Development Center, 3819 Towne Cross Boulevard (located across from Outback Steakhouse). A networking session begins at 8:15 a.m., where residents can meet their neighbors and city staff in different departments. The summit is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Yolanda Wilson, Manager of Neighborhood Vitality, said, “This year’s theme is called Rollin’ Out the Resources. The Neighborhood Summit will feature guest speakers and more to educate and provide helpful tips for coordinating neighborhood groups. The free summit is a great way for Mesquite residents to get involved in and learn more about their community. Wilson stressed that the event is open to all residents and that it is a great first step to get involved in their neighborhood.
