Mesquite, TX - Jan. 24 - The public is invited to attend a special City Council meeting to provide input on proposed efforts to address safety in our community. The meeting will be held on Tue., Jan. 28, 6 p.m., at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave.
Mesquite Police Chief Charles Cato will present tactics and programs to reduce, address and investigate criminal activity in Mesquite. This will include, but not be limited to suggested safety measures convenience stores and other local businesses can take, new patrol operational procedures, and enhanced neighborhood engagement platforms.
Based on input from the City Council, the new approaches to fighting crime and increasing public safety in Mesquite, will be rolled out over the next few months.
The meeting will afford attendees the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposals during a public comment portion of the agenda. For those who are unable to attend, the meeting will be broadcast live from the city’s website at www.cityofmesquite.com/WatchCouncilMeetings and on the city’s Facebook page at cityofmesquitetx.
