Homebuyer Process Using NSP

NSP Application Process 

STEP 1: Review Program Eligibility Requirements and Program Guidelines

STEP 2: Complete a homebuyer education course with a HUD-approved provider

STEP 3: Get a Pre-Qualification Letter from Service First Mortgage, or another trusted Lender. To contact Service First Mortgage, please call Geoffrey Shirley at 469-336-0321 or email GShirley@sfmc.com

STEP 4: Contact NSP-preferred Realtor, Alicia Trevino, to take a tour of the NSP homes. You may contact Alicia by calling 972-613-4014 or email Alicia@aliciatrevino.com

STEP 5: Submit a completed NSP Application to Housing and Community Services in-person at 1616 N. Galloway Ave, Mesquite; via fax to 972-329-8340; or via email to RButler@cityofmesquite.com

Note: Incomplete applications with missing/omitted information will be deemed ineligible. 

STEP 6: Once your application has been approved, you may make an offer on an NSP home by contacting Alicia Trevino at 972-613-4014 or Alicia@aliciatrevino.com

***Submission of Application does not automatically qualify you for assistance under the program.*** Each application will go through a review and processing to determine eligibility.
