The City of Mesquite is a participating jurisdiction and receives entitlement grants from The U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). HUD requires local communities and states to prepare an Annual Action Plan, 3-5 year Consolidated Plan and Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) in order to receive federal housing and community development funding.
