Position No. 1 – Vacant (Owner of a Mesquite landmark or commercial building or business located in the Historic Preservation Overlay District or within the boundaries of the Main Street Program)
Position No. 2 – William J. Richardson (Practicing design professional)
Position No. 3 – Kelly Baird (Historian)
Position No. 4 – Valerie Palmer (Resident of the City demonstrating knowledge of history, historic preservation, local culture, education, archaeology, architecture or the arts)
Position No. 5 – Vacant (Any resident of the City)
Position No. 6 – Lisa Haar (Any member of the Mesquite Downtown Development Advisory Board)
Position No. 7 – Teia Collier (Any member of Historic Mesquite, Inc., Board of Directors)

Alternate No. 1 – Vacant (Any resident who qualifies for Position Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5)
Alternate No. 2 – Vacant (Any resident who qualifies for Position Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5)

About the Board

The Landmark Commission is composed of seven regular members and two alternate members and works to protect, enhance and promote landmarks and districts of historical, cultural and architectural importance in the City.   The Landmark Commission shall have final decision-making authority in some decisions and in others shall make recommendations to the Planning and Zoning Commission and/or City Council and any other decision-making person or body as required by law.
