Services are offered free-of-charge to any Mesquite resident who is in a mental crisis or in need of referral services. Through individual or group counseling session, participants will be introduced to skills that will help each of them to lean how to manage and cope with the stress of everyday living. Mission East Dallas (MED) is a community-based, not-for-profit, award-winning medical, dental and counseling center based in Mesquite. While the focus is on low income and uninsured individuals and families, MED sees and treats everyone regardless of their inability to pay or their insurance status and they do so in a COVID-19 safe environment. MED provides counseling services through their License Clinical Social Worker and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on-site and via tele-health.

MISD Counseling Services is committed to working with their staff, students and families to be both a support and a resources for students who struggle with thoughts of harming themselves. Additionally, MISD Counselors endeavor to create a "soft place to land" for students who are struggling emotionally.To that end, MISD Counselors promote a message of love, hope and encouragement to students.

The Family Place empowers victims of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence. We are the largest family violence service provider in Texas with three emergency shelters providing 177 shelter beds each night, including the state’s only shelter for men and children, and three counseling centers that offer both individual and group counseling. All services are available in Spanish and English.
