COMPASS - City of Mesquite Passenger Shuttle

About the Service

COMPASS (City Of Mesquite PASsenger Shuttle) is a nonstop weekday express shuttle made possible by an agreement between Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), STAR Transit and the City of Mesquite.

STAR Transit connects the City of Mesquite residents to the DART Rail Green Line via Express Bus Route 282 (COMPASS).

The service provides shuttles every 30 minutes during peak periods from 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m and from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Travelers board COMPASS 282 at the Mesquite Park & Ride and are dropped off at the Lawnview Station on the DART Rail Green Line, located in East Dallas.

The Mesquite Park & Ride is located at Hanby Stadium at 410 East Davis Street in Mesquite.  It has free parking for 197 cars, plus 10 additional spaces for persons with disabilities.

Passengers showing a DART local pass or passengers without a DART pass will pay $1 upon boarding. Passengers with a DART Mesquite 31 Day Pass or a DART regional or reduced pass pay no additional fare upon boarding. As of August 18, 2018, day passes are no longer available for the System fare.

Whether it is for work, education, medical appointments, or entertainment, COMPASS is a great way to travel between Mesquite and Dallas or anywhere else in the region, as it saves money on gas and parking costs as well as reduce the stress of driving in traffic.
