High School Age Volunteer Opportunities

Youth Environmental Leaders Program

Need service hours for NHS, scouts, student council, or just want to volunteer? Keep Mesquite Beautiful is looking for students who have a commitment to their environment by participating in campus beautification projects, civic events, special events, community clean-ups, and numerous other service related projects by becoming a Youth Environmental Leaders (YEL).

Mesquite Public Library

For ages 15 and up, perform routine collection maintenance of library materials, including shelving, stamping, or labeling books, or you can assist library staff with special programs and events. Available hours vary.

Mesquite Public Library Summer Reading Program


If you are age 15 or older, you may work primarily with the Children’s Librarian by registering participants, assisting in craft programs, and data entry as needed to support summer reading in the city.

Volunteers will have contact with general public. Hours may vary and include Saturday hours.
