Board of Adjustment

About the Committee
The Board of Adjustment (BOA) is a quasi-judicial body which acts on appeals for variances, special exceptions and interpretations in the zoning regulations. Its decisions are final but may be subject to court action. The Board consists of 7 members: five regular members and two alternate members. Requests that require BOA Action include:

  • Building a Front Carport
  • Permitting Over-sized Accessory Structures
  • Allowing Setback Encroachments
  • Variations from the Zoning Code
  • Special Exception identified in the Zoning Code
  • Appeals of a Zoning Interpretations
