New Look to Water Bills

Starting in July you should notice a new look to your municipal water bill. The changes are designed to make it easier to read and to help residents follow their monthly consumption. Work on the new layout has been going on for more than a year, but took time to implement since software had to be purchased to create the changes. That system is now up and running and the final design of the bill was approved in May. With it set to hit the presses, consumers should start seeing the updated bills in July or August. Another feature on the new water bill is the addition of a special messages section, which was created to replace the inserts typically stuffed into water bill envelopes. Water administrators also hope the new consumption bar graph feature will help people think more carefully about their daily water use, and help follow consumption during times of drought.
