“SKEET” and “SCOOTER”, the Mesquite Police Department Safety Robots are interactive programs teaching students the fundamentals of gun safety, stranger danger, the 9-1-1 system, seatbelt safety, and traffic safety.

The wireless audio and video signals help a police offer make the robots come to life with an enthusiasm that excites young and old alike. Video and audio programs on cassette tapes are combined with the knowledge of the operating officer to provide a solid base of education. Using these visual tools helps students relate to what is being taught, as well as they remember the message when taught by “SKEET” and “SCOOTER”.
