Accessory Structures IPMC 302.7

All accessory structures, including garages, fences and walls, must be structurally sound with no deteriorating or exposed wood. And all roofing must be watertight and in good condition.

Possible Requirements

  • Paint all exposed wood
  • Replace all dilapidated building materials
  • Repair exterior wall coverings
  • Repair roof coverings
  • Remove dilapidated building
  • Repair or replace fencing

Exterior Building Conditions IPMC 304.0

No building can pose a threat to health or safety. The building’s exterior must be maintained in good repair with a watertight roof and all exposed wood surfaces painted to prevent chipping, peeling, and flaking. Decayed wood must be replaced. Broken or missing windows must be repaired or replaced. Exposed wires and broken fixtures must be removed or repaired.
