SUMMER TIME IS HERE! SCHOOL IS OUT! KIDS NEED SOMETHING TO DO DURING THE DAY. EVEN PARENTS NEED SOMETHING TO DO AFTER A LONG DAY AT WORK. COME BY OUR FACILITY AND PARTICIPATE IN OUR FUN PROGRAMS.

Class Registration Form

Body Shaping  

Shape and tighten your figure or physique. Improve your cardiovascular and muscular endurance through the use of weight training and other exercises in our fitness room. This class will involve upper body and lower body muscles and limited cardiovascular work.

Instructor: Sam Hylton
Days: Mondays & Thursdays
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Ages: 18 & up
Fee: $25 per session

A-1 Class:

Specialist Instructors

The Rutherford Center is looking for energetic and innovative Instructors to teach youth and adults classes/programs. If you have a unique talent, skill or idea please submit your application here. Instructors will be paid a percentage of the tuition.



A variety of recreational classes and special activities are offered at the recreation centers for all ages. Instructors are qualified, skilled individuals who have a passion for the classes they teach. Some classes offer a first time drop in fee so you can try a class out to see if it is the right class for you. Please check with the recreation center to see what classes are currently offered. Please register in advance for classes because classes are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.

For your convenience, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, check or cash are offered as acceptable forms of payment. If a class is filled, individuals will be put on a waiting list and called if space becomes available. Refunds are issued if we cancel a class. All other reasons for needing a refund will be issued as a class credit for you to use for future classes, leagues, memberships or reservations.

Areas are available for free play in the lobby and gymnasiums. Equipment may be checked out with a current membership card. Lockers are also available free of charge as bags are not allowed in the Gymnasiums or Fitness Rooms. Participants under 12 years of age must be actively supervised by a parent/guardian 18 or older.

Gold Membership: Access to any fitness room at any Mesquite Recreation Center.
Silver Membership: Access to fitness rooms at Florence, Dunford and Rutherford only.
