Preschool Pals  

Preschool Pals has hands-on and fun activities that will open your child's mind to a new world full of color and wonder. This program will allow your child to interact with children of the same age group and develop social skills. Monday - Friday 9 am - 2 pm Ages 3-5

A-1 Class:

Pilates

Using only your own body weight and gravity, Pilates will tone and strengthen your entire body. This class will focus on integrating the entire body, rather than exercising each body part separately. As you begin to focus on your body as a whole you'll achieve better alignment and teach your body to work more efficiently. Bring your own mat.
Designed for all fitness levels.

Specialist Instructors

The Evans Recreation Center is looking for energetic and innovative Instructors to teach youth and adults classes/programs. If you have a unique talent, skill or idea please submit your application here. Instructors will be paid a percentage of the tuition.



A variety of recreational classes and special activities are offered at the recreation centers for all ages. Instructors are qualified, skilled individuals who have a passion for the classes they teach. Some classes offer a first time drop in fee so you can try a class out to see if it is the right class for you. Please check with the recreation center to see what classes are currently offered. Please register in advance for classes because classes are subject to cancellation if minimum enrollment is not met.

For your convenience, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, check or cash are offered as acceptable forms of payment. If a class is filled, individuals will be put on a waiting list and called if space becomes available. Refunds are issued if we cancel a class. All other reasons for needing a refund will be issued as a class credit for you to use for future classes, leagues, memberships or reservations.

Areas are available for free play in the lobby and gymnasiums. Equipment may be checked out with a current membership card. Lockers are also available free of charge as bags are not allowed in the Gymnasiums or Fitness Rooms. Participants under 12 years of age must be actively supervised by a parent/guardian 18 or older.

Seniors ages 55 and over can use the fitness room for free during senior program operational hours of 8 am – 4 pm. After 4 pm or on weekends seniors must have a current Fitness Membership.

Gold Membership: Access to any fitness room at any Mesquite Recreation Center.
Silver Membership: Access to fitness rooms at Florence, Dunford and Rutherford only.
