Come join us for an action-packed and exciting way to enjoy the outdoors and create wonderful memories. Our goal is for campers to have a safe and fun experience, while making new friends and challenging themselves in new adventures. Activities each week at CRG are based on a theme. Located at 3100 Lawson Road, Camp Rorie Galloway features a wide variety of activities: group games, boating, crafts, hiking and archery, High/Low Ropes Challenge Course and much more. We also have weekly field trips and a trip to the City Lake Aquatic Center for swimming. All this for only $100 per participant. Registration and Fees
A maximum of 75 participants will be accepted in each session. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Fees are $100 per child. Late fees will be added if registering the day of camp. LIL’ ROOKIE SPORTST-BALL This program is for preschoolers wanting to learn the basics of hitting, base running, fielding and catching. The first two classes will concentrate on skill development; the last weeks will be used for games. T-Ball is reserved exclusively for ages 3 to 5. The camp will be held at Rutherford Recreation Center and will be held Saturdays, June 8 - 29, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Fees are $25 per child. LIL’ ROOKIE SPORTS - BASKEBTALLNothing but net. Nothing but fun. This is for youth who are unfamiliar with the game of basketball. They will learn the aspects of dribbling, shooting, passing and defense. Basketball is reserved exclusively for ages 6 to 8. The camp will be held at Rutherford Recreation Center on Tuesdays, July 2 - 23, 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Fees are $25 per child. LIL’ ROOKIE SPORTS - SOCCERThe dream for the World Cup starts here. This program is for preschoolers wanting to learn the basics of kicking, dribbling, goaltending and passing. The first two classes will concentrate on skill development; the last two weeks will be used for games. Soccer is reserved exclusively for ages 4 to 5. The camp will be held at Rutherford Recreation Center and will be held Saturdays, July 6 - 27, 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. Fees are $25 per child. LIL’ ROOKIE SPORTS - TRACK & FIELDAre you ready to go for the gold? This is for youth who are unfamiliar with the sport of track & field. The students will learn aspects of the sport by working on skills for running, jumping and throwing events. Track & Field is reserved exclusively for ages 6 to 8. The camp will be held at Rutherford Recreation Center on Tuesdays, June 4 - 25, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Fees are $25 per child. MESQUITE ALL STAR SPORTS CAMPWhether you strive to impove your skills, learn a new sport or stimulate your creativity, Mesquite All Star Sports Camp offers a camp for everyone. Each week offers a different sport to keep your young athlete engaged and excited. Campers will also go on weekly field trips and weekly trips to the pool. This camp is exclusively for those in 3rd - 6th grade. Mesquite All Star Sports Camp will be held at Dunford Recreation Center. The camp is weekly sessions from June 11 to August 10, weekdays 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Fees are $75 per camper per week TEEN ADVENTURES & PUBLIC SERVICE CAMPTAPS gives teens the opportunity to participate in community service projects, meet new friends, gain self-esteem and learn leadership skills all while having fun. Teens can earn community service hours for school. This camp is exclusively for those entering 7th grade through entering High School. Teen Adventures & Public Service Camp will be held at Dunford Recreation Center. The camp is weekly sessions from June 10 to August 23, Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Fees are $85 per camper per week. MIDDAY POWER PLAYKids will get a quick fix of fun and excitement . Each Wednesday there will be different activities involving arts & crafts, sports and social skills. This also gives an opportunity for stay-at-home parents to run errands during this time. Midday Power Play is exclusively for ages 8 to 12. This camp will be held at Rutherford Recreation Centers on Wednesdays, , June 12, 26; July 10, 24; August 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A $3 drop-in fee per child. TEEN FITNESS TRAININGStudents will learn good techniques for gaining strength, speed and endurance. What a better way to avoid sports injuries than to be in great condition. Learn the proper techniques of weight training to shape and tone your body. This is the only opportunity for participants under 15 to use our fitness room. Teen Fitness Training is exclusively for ages 13 to 17. The camp will be held at Rutherford Recreation Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Session 1, June 4 - 27 & Session 2, July 9 – August 1, from 4 p.m. to 5p.m. Fees are $25 per session. TEEN BOOT CAMPAre you a middle school athlete looking to play Middle School sports? A high school athlete hoping to make varsity? Or a Varsity athlete looking to make first string? If so, then this is the boot camp for you. Train with us and we will help you get faster, stronger and in better shape to help give you an edge before you report for your school’s training and tryouts. This camp is exclusively for those entering 7th grade - high school. Teen Boot Camp will be held at Dunford Recreation Center. The camp is held weekly and in the mornings, July 8 - 11, Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. or 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fees are $25 per camper per session. BLAST DAY CAMPB.L.A.S.T Day Camp (Bringing Leadership, Art and Sports Together) allows children to participate in a traditional summer day camp program. Activities include swimming, games, crafts, field trips and other exciting adventures. Campers build self-esteem, develop social skills and improve health and fitness while exploring a different theme each week. BLAST will be held at Florence, Evans and Rutherford Recreation Centers from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for ages 6 - 12. Participants must register by the Thursday before each week of camp. Campers have the option of having lunch provided by MISD on non-field trip days. Fees are $85/week. |
