Facilities and Programming

Overview

Mesquite Parks and Recreation community centers and rental facilities play host to approximately 50,000 residents every year, reserving park pavilions and the like for various special occasions ranging from anniversary celebrations to church and family picnics. Presentation rights to park pavilions and shelters, as well as presentation rights to various community center programs, can assist in building top-of-mind-awareness for any business, cause, product, service or entity.

Facility and programming partnerships can provide corporate branding on several city assets and promotional material through signage and on-site displays and volunteer opportunities if desired

How it works

Pavilions
Partners can secure presentation rights to one, more or all of the park pavilions that are reserved by hundreds of groups and organizations annually. The busiest season for reservations generally runs from March through October. On site signage will be secured and partners will be able to market to those reserving pavilions through special offers and referrals in the reservation process. And, presentation rights to the pavilions will also grant two complimentary uses of the pavilion for the partner. The Pavilions are:

  • Brandy Station
  • City Lake Park
  • Debusk Park
  • Kid Quest Park
  • Paschall Park
  • Valley Creek Park
  • Town East Park

Shelters
Partners may also secure presentation rights to one, more or all of park shelters that are reserved by hundreds of groups and organizations annually. On site signage will be secured and partners will be able to market to those reserving pavilions through special offers and referrals in the reservation process. And, presentation rights to the pavilions will also grant two complimentary uses of the pavilion for the partner. The shelters are:

  • Blackwood Park
  • Clay Mathis Greenbelt
  • Hodges Park
  • McWhorter Park
  • Westover Greenbelt
  • Westover Sybil Park

Community Center Programming
Mesquite Parks and Recreation Community Center programs target virtually all demographics from the very young in the Recreation After School Program to Seniors with our senior center programs. There is the Rorie Galloway Day Camp that host special events and summer camps for kids and teenagers. There are fitness programs like Zumba at various community centers, as well as camp assets such as the pavilion, the rappelling wall and vertical playground and archery range. There are even special events like a Wii Bowling Tournament plenty of opportunities to target branding or marketing initiatives through partnership and presenting these programs. Presentation of the programs will be included in the MP&R Fun Forecast publication that goes out to 45,000 households in Mesquite biannually. The partnership includes the ability to wrap special promotions around participation and sign up periods, as well as inclusion on Web based presences for the city through the MP&R Web site and social networking.
