Homebuyer Counseling Requirement

Each NSP assisted homebuyer must receive and complete at least 8 hours of homebuyer counseling from a HUD-approved housing counseling before obtaining a mortgage loan. The courses can include pre/post purchase counseling and other approved courses needed to satisfy the requirement. Upon completion, each applicant will need to provide the City of Mesquite a certificate of at least 8 hours of homebuyer counseling.
