With over 9,000 DVDs and videocassettes on a variety of subjects, there is something for anyone, for any occasion:

• Children’s popular educational and entertaining TV series, like, Barbie, Franklin, Angelina Ballerina, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, The Magic School Bus, and much more.
• Multiple copies of Disney’s most beloved and classic children’s animated movies.
• Popular educational documentary TV series and movies, such as, National Geographic, Nova, PBS, The History Channel, Animal Planet, and more.
• Academy Award winners from the past and present.
• Blockbuster films of all genres, including comedy, drama, plays, theater, musicals, inspirational, romance, action/adventure, science fiction, mystery thrillers, spy movies, and more.
• Animé TV series and movies from Japan with optional English audio or subtitles.

In order to check out any of the library’s movies, a valid library card in good standing is required. Adults over the age of 18 can check out 5 DVDs and 5 videocassettes on one library card for 7 days. Items may be renewed one time as long as the items are not overdue or on hold for another patron. You can renew items by calling 972-216-6220 (Mesquite Main Library) or 972-681-0465 (Mesquite North Branch Library); by accessing “My Account” through the online catalog; or by stopping at the checkout desk at either library facility. For renewals, you will need the library card number that was used to check the item out and, if the renewal is done online, you will also need your PIN. Overdue fines for DVDs and videocassettes are $1.00 per day.
