Both libraries have a computer set up for children twelve years of age and under. Training provided. Call the Main Library or the North Branch for more details.

Storytime: Storytime is held year round at both the Mesquite Main Library and the North Branch. The Spring and Fall sessions of storytime span a 10 week period. During the summer, storytime covers an 8 week period. Storytime usually lasts for 30 minutes and consists of stories, filmstrips, fingerplays and group activities. Storytime is also provided so that young children may become acquainted with authors & illustrators of Children's Literature.

They will kick off the Texas Summer Reading Club with a 30-minute circus storytime,
which will encourage children not only to read, but also to discover, dream and learn!
This event is free and open to the public. David and Cherie will also explain how kids
ages 2-12 can enroll in the Summer Reading Club to earn a free circus ticket.

BLUEBONNET BOOK CLUB

Children in 3rd - 6th grades are invited to join the Bluebonnet Book Club. The Bluebonnet Book Club meets on alternating Tuesdays at the Mesquite North Branch Library from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. At each meeting, we will discuss a different book from the 2009-2010 Texas Bluebonnet Award Nominee List.
