The mission of the Mesquite Public Library System is to enrich the lives of residents by providing access to a variety of intellectual, educational, informational, recreational and cultural resources.
The Mesquite Municipal Advisory Board acts in an advisory capacity and is responsible to the City Council on matters pertaining to the Library as related to present and future maintenance, operation, planning, acquisition, development, enlargement, and use policies of the City library services.
The Library Board shall recommend to the City Council rules and regulations governing the administration of the library program and the use of library facilities but shall follow rules and regulations as may be prescribed by the City Council for the conduct of its business.
The citizens of Mesquite are invited to come share their ideas, wants or concerns with the Board. The Municipal Library Advisory Board meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Main Library, 300 West Grubb Drive. The meetings are subject to change, so please call 972-216-6223 for current meeting information.
