| SENIOR BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN |

The City of Mesquite is seeking a Senior Building Maintenance Technician to work in the Building Services Department. This position will primarily focus on the maintenance, repair and alteration of plumbing systems. However, this position will also assist in complex and difficult work in the maintenance, repair, alteration and construction of City buildings, facilities and fixtures including carpentry, HVAC systems, dry-wall, painting, welding, electrical, locks and hardware work.
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
- Requires two (2) years of experience in one or more of the building maintenance trades.
- Must possess a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- Must possess a license or certification in one of the following trades: Electrical, air conditioning, plumbing, back-flow device testing, carpentry or locksmithing from the appropriate state, county or local issuing agency or obtain license or certification within six months of employment as a condition of continued employment.
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with over time as needed. Mandatory on-call pager duty for one week intervals is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous plumbing experience.

The City of Mesquite is seeking a Service Attendant to work in the Public Works Department, Equipment Services Division. This position will perform a variety of general maintenance tasks such as basic service and maintenance work in the upkeep of City vehicles and equipment. The Service Attendant will also inspect vehicles and ensure compliance with state standards and will perform cleaning and minor maintenance within the Service Center.
- Requires formal or informal education and training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
- Requires six (6) months of experience performing routine maintenance on vehicles.
- Must possess a valid Class C Texas driver's license.
- Must be available to work M-F evening shift from 2:30pm-11:00pm and on call as needed.
