CREW MEMBER (W & S RECONSTRUCTION)
Starting Salary: Starting Salary: $11.39/hr.

The City of Mesquite is seeking a Crew Member in the Water Distribution Division to perform a wide variety of general maintenance activities and functions including installing, maintaining and repairing water pipes and sewer pipes. Will provide support to the public and assigned city departments and divisions. Must have six (6) months of general outside labor experience operating motorized equipment similar to that used in water distribution and/or collection and reconstruction. Requires a high school diploma or GED. Must posses a valid Class C Texas driver's license. Must obtain a valid Class A Commercial driver's license (the city will assist with obtaining a CDL) within ninety (90) days of employment as a condition of continued employment. When assigned to Distribution – obtain Class “C” Distribution certification from Texas Commission on Environmental Quality within one year following successful completion of probationary period. Failure to obtain appropriate certification will result in non-disciplinary termination. Must be available to work 40 hours per week M-F, 7:00am- 3:30pm with overtime and rotating on call.
SIGNAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Starting Salary: Starting Salary: $15.43/hr.

The City of Mesquite is seeking a qualified Signal Maintenance Technician to join the Public Works Traffic Division. The Signal Maintenance Technician will maintain, repair and construct traffic signals; to maintain accurate records on material and equipment used; and will perform a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Requires High School Diploma or GED. Requires one (1) year of responsible experience in the maintenance, repair and construction of traffic signals including experience in electronics repair. Must obtain a Commercial Class A Driver’s License within one hundred eighty (180) days of employment as a condition of continued employment. Must be available to work flexible schedule M-F 7:30-4:30pm (rotating schedule; 44 hours one week then 36 hours the following week).
SIGNS AND MARKINGS TECHNICIAN

The City of Mesquite is seeking a Signs and Markings Technician in the Traffic division to perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance and installation of traffic signs; painting pavement markings and striping; to apply preformed plastic pavement markings; to install raised pavement markers; and to maintain records on materials and equipment used. Requires a high school diploma or GED. No experience required, however, recent outside heavy manual labor experience is preferred. Must possess a valid Class C Texas driver's license. Must be available to work M-F 7am-4:30pm.
