- A Stake in the Prairie: Mesquite, Texas – The official history book of Mesquite written by a dedicated group of community volunteers known as the Mesquite Historical Committee, and published in 1984. We are in the second printing and down to the last 60 copies. Taylor Publishing Company of Dallas has said the book cannot be reproduced again from its original form due to the sepia colors of the pages. A “must-have” for those with children growing up in Mesquite ISD. $20.00 each
- Ornaments – HMI had a series of ornaments that depicted remaining historic structures and scenes as well as a few that had succumbed to “progress.” While there were 12 in the series, only eight of them are available – and some have a very limited number at that. Be sure and get your set while there are still some on the shelves. $6.00 each or choose a set of five for $25
- Notecards – Eight new color photos of both the Florence Ranch Homestead and Opal Lawrence Historical Park have been produced in notecard size and are available as a combination pack (four shots of each property) or individual properties. Individual cards are also available of each shot. Pack of 8 cards are $10; individual cards with envelopes are $1.50 each.
- Lawrence Park tiles – Introduced at Dinner Under the Cedars, HMI has three granite tiles left from its first shipment. Two of the square tiles depict the Webb/Crownover log cabin from Sunnyvale, and one tile depicts the Lawrence house itself. Each tile is $10 (if interested in sets as they were sold at the event, please call the office)
