The Set Units button allows you to select the reported units of measurement for the map. This affects the map scale/bar and the Measure  tool. Once you select the Set Units button a dialog box appears at the bottom of the map page. You have a choice of feet, miles, meters and kilometers. For the City of Mesquite the default is set to feet. After you have selected your choice, click on Set Units to activate the setting.
