 Patrons of the Mesquite Public Library are invited to join the BOOK CLUB. Each Month the Club will read a different book and then meet to discuss it. The Club will meet the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room at the Mesquite Main Library, 300 W. Grubb Drive. The next meeting is Thursday, September 2nd. There is no selected book for this month. Celebrate our 4th Anniversary by bringing your favorite book and chatting about it with the group. HOW TO ACCESS A FREE E-MAIL ACCOUNT class offered from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the Mesquite North Branch Library, 2600 Oates Drive. The class will include setting up an e-mail account with Yahoo, Google or MSN. Students will learn to compose, send, read, forward and delete e-mails. There will be an explanation of the parts of an e-mail address, including the name, domain and extensions. E-mail etiquette and security issues will also be addressed.  The FRIENDS OF THE MESQUITE PUBLIC LIBRARY FALL BOOK SALE will be held on Thursday, September 30th for MEMBERS ONLY (membership available at the door) from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Opened to the GENERAL PUBLIC on Friday, October 1st from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mesquite Public Library, 300 W. Grubb Drive. Public is welcome to come browse and buy a bargain. All proceeds benefit the library.
