Come see The Nightingale Trio from the Yale Women's Slavic Chorus perform traditional folk music from all over the Balkans and Eastern Europe during their return tour to Dallas!
The Nightingale Trio is a women’s vocal arts group inspired by traditional folk songs and vocal techniques from the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Composed of only three, recent, Yale graduates, the group’s songs manage to sound fuller than a trio, yet still maintain the intimate, tight harmonies of a small, family band. Though dedicated to recreating the rhythmic, complex, and stunning folk songs that have spanned centuries of Slavic artistic culture, the Nightingale Trio also strives to expand the boundaries of the traditional folk genre by bringing their own unique forms of expression and creativity to the dynamic and ever-evolving art form. The Trio will be putting a percentage of their profits towards Autism research, so any donations that can be made during their performances will be greatly appreciated. For more information about the group or to view their additional performances, please visit: www.facebook.com/TheNightingaleTrio.
